Wheel Color

I am restoring my 1953 F100 standard cab as close as possible to original. Were the wheels on these trucks painted to match the body color or were they all a standard color? TIA

I can only say that the wheels on my 54 F100 were painted the same color as the truck.

In 53 and 54 wheels were painted body color. In 55 they were painted Snowshoe white like the grille. In 56 they were Colonial white.
