I'll stand on my track record as a Ford man, but you guys are whacko.

Cheby has built some excellent engines.

I'm telling you - I'd jump ship in a New York second for an original 4 bolt main 375HP 327. OR an original L-88 427 (wasn't it about 540HP in Corvette trim?)

Hey, I'll be brutally honest; even if I had to stick it in a Jeep.

Now, they have also built some serious Garbage.

. . but so has my beloved Ford Motor Company. I know - I have first hand experience .

I honestly think their engines are just fine - it's the rest of the package - the squeaks, rattles, cheesy interior, cheap trim pieces, seating surfaces that look like vomit, the list goes on.

I have mixed feelings here.
Chevrolet engines are ok.
And to be honest... I think Chevrolet puts out better interior on the base models than the Fords.
My 90 GMC GMC... is a lot better looking inside than a 90 Ford I think... with any trim package
Ijust dont like the cheap looking dash's

But I won't own another newer Chevy again.
Mom has had a ton of problems out of her 2000 Jimmy, and Dad has had a ton out of his 2001 S-10
I'll stick with Ford any day

I will admit to enjoying the acronyms as well!!

I know it's sacrilege, but does anyone know any FORD acronyms?

Like . .

Fix On Race Day

Found On Road Dead

Fix Or Repair Daily

. . . ?

Wait 'til we get to YUGO. MAN, can I have fun with that one !!!

I usually don't prefer on vehicle over another. The big 3 have ecah had their share of bad engines, trannys, lemon vehicles. It all comes down to individual preference. Like me, I prefer domestic vehicles.

The acronyms are cool. A little rivalry between brands is good.
