Heated Mirrors

My window sticker for my 2022 F250 Lariat indicates heated mirrors but there are no controls of any kind for them. Do they simply heat from the heater when it’s on?

They turn on with rear defrost

It’s easy enough to test. They will get warm enough to feel it when they are on.
