I have an 06 E350. I have sealed beans and have replaced them with Phillips LEDs. I really like these headlights. I also have a front hitch.
My problem is that when I put my bike rack on the front it blocks basically all light at night. We arrived at a campsite after dark last weekend, and it was TERRIFYING. I can't move the bikes to the back as that is where the camper is. I can't move them all to the roof as I will eventually have 9 bikes to haul.
I could add some fog lights, but that only covers light so far. I also don't want to add just driving lights since those don't focus light like a low beam. Has anyone dealt with anything like this? I'd like to install one thing, is there an external housing for 6054 bulbs I could install?
As it's looking, I think installing them at the bottom of the bumper is what I will have to do. I can handle wiring, that's not a problem. I'm just terrible at Googling this kind of thing.
Check relocated headlights on snowplows for ideas.
You can add a light bar at the forward end of the bike rack but it might move too much for safe driving.
I’m pretty sure roof mounted lights are illegal on public roads. I don’t know how good they are as low beams.

The bike rack is aluminum, so there's a lot of flex, I thought about that though too since there are a pair of Holes that would be perfect. I'll check the snow plow housings. If I'm picturing the right thing, I think they'd work.

I'm looking for something like this for H6054 lights.
So, in case anyone comes along looking. It seems like I need dual function lights that are SAE compliant. Rigid Industries has a light bar, but at $720, I'm not sure I'm comfortable spending that. One rogue rock could trash it pretty easily with how low it would be mounted.
Have you considered maybe removing the bike seats for less blocking, or using a drop piece for the front hitch to lower the assembly? Or there are lights that mount in the corners of the hood by the windshield.......

Unfortunately it's the tires that block the headlights. With slightly different sizes of bikes, almost all of the light gets blocked. The lights are just over halfway up most of the tires, so I'd have to drop or raise the track a substantial amount. The rack also has a tensioning device inside to minimize wiggling in the receiver. So if I did use a drop or raise, I'd get that wiggle back.
My concern with the hood height lights is blinding oncoming traffic. I'll look into some though.
