First Ford in a while

Hey everyone. I just picked up my first ford in a long time (as you can tell by my immature screen name); a new-to-me 2016. I figured I’d say hello and get reestablished on the forum as I’ll likely need help diagnosing things in the future.

2016 king ranch 5.0. Single owner, no accidents that I know of, 100k miles.

things I did last weekend:
- all fluid services (diffs, t-case, brake, coolant, trans
- changed front hub assemblies (and 4wd actuators while I was in there)
- upgraded to sync 3.4 w/ newer usb ports
- rewired the connector that melted for the cooled seats

things I’m doing this weekend:
- shocks and struts
- alignment
- spark plugs
- drive belts
- trans mount
- try to sell the tonneau cover and get a spray in bedliner

Should be about sorted after that.

Nice truck. You are doing everything I recommend that people do when they buy a used truck.

Looks like Texas by the grille guard, and that parking lot looks vaguely familiar for some reason.

Congratulations !!! Nice truck !! We have a 2017 K/R in the White Gold color with a 3.5. We ordered it when I was a service writer. It just now turned 18K on the clock.

FWIW, if you clay bar that truck, put a good coat of wax on it, and "2" coats of Colinite 845 on it, that paint will look really deep, and the color will "POP". FWIW

Thanks! Yeah I’m in Houston. I picked it up from a dealer in Temple (trade in) and according to the carfax it spent its life in midland.

Thanks for the suggestion! I love metallic whites and was excited to find such a clean one. Reminds me of the satin white pearl wrx I had when I was in my early 20s.

No as of now I’m planning on keeping it stock. Don’t get me wrong I think it would look better but in my old age (36) I’m worried about affecting ride quality and wearing out Front end components faster. I haven’t done much research on it yet.

I’ll probably do it and grab some all terrains when these new highway tires tires wear out.
