22 XLT 302A package. Just had my battery issue fixed and, while there, I completely forgot to mention my AC (hasn't been warm enough to need it until recently). My AC starts out fine, then just fades away. I'm driving around in a full sweat with my AC on. So I shut it off and find some relief by opening the window which feels way better than the AC. After a few miles I can turn the AC back on and it works fine again. It's not a case of it just quits blowing cold air, the fan dies down as well. Nothing completely stops, it just gets real faint. Happened to me Saturday so I turned the max AC on and that didn't even help. It's almost like the thing freezes and has to thaw before it will work again. Anyone else have this problem? Sounds like a programming issue to me.
Oh man there are a TON of frightening tales of AC problems on this forum - I have not had any problems yet on my 23 STX but I haven't taken a long trip yet

The F150 Forum has some threads about it and Ford has recently issued a software revision service bulletin (TSB 24-2168) that is supposed to take care of it.
I’d like to see if I could assist with your AC concerns. Can you please send over a message with your VIN and estimated mileage so I can start looking into this on my end?
New 2024 F250 4x4 Diesel, my AC went out at 848 miles. Dealer states its the compressor & none available & stating maybe 2 weeks. Like everyone else here this is ridiculous.
This is my 5th F250 and I'm not impressed. Need my truck back. Ford can you help?
I test drove a '21 XLT 302A 3.5L a couple weeks back and the A/C felt like it was really struggling. Then I test drove a '22 XLT 302A Powerboost last week and it was ice box cold. Weird....
So, I bought my 2022 XLT 302A from Granger Ford. When I go to my service records on Ford Pass App, it lists heating and AC service was performed. I have no idea what was done or why, just that it was done. I've run my AC in the summer and zero issues (so far). Not sure if because of that service or just my luck.
Got my AC fixed on Friday. Works great now which is good because the next day I had to do A LOT of towing in 95 degree heat. It was wonderful. Yep, it was a software thing.
My F150 decides it doesn't have a clue where it is and won't stay Bluetooth to my phone for a month or so nearly every March.
Then it WIFI's updates and works again. SYNC is crap. N.K. GPS
I would get lost in the mountains if I didn't have a Truckers GPS which always works right and lets me know where Gas is.
Which routes are not good.
I must say I'm disappointed. They fixed my AC last Friday. It worked fantastic on Saturday when I did over 400 miles of towing in 90 degree plus heat. Thankful for that. Yesterday I took my dump trailer in for inspection and the AC is back to doing what it was doing before. This is getting annoying.
I wonder what vin numbers or build dates are effected. My 2924 7.3 xlt was built in November a week after the strike ended I believe and was delivered and I picked up Dec 5th. I've got 17500 miles now and 7500 miles since May 30 truckcamper across the usa is 104 temps day after day and things are good.
Well I can say that I believe the AC is indeed fixed. I'm not 100% sure what happened when I took the dump trailer for inspection but I think I have a clue. I think I actually shut it off instead of on. Let me explain. I have found that since I got this fixed, the AC automatically comes on when I start the truck. I always shut the AC off when I park the truck. Just a habit that I developed. So I think, out of habit, I instinctively hit the button and turned it off, not paying attention to whether or not the light was on. I don't care for this coming on every time I start the truck but I guess I'll live with it becuase I have no way to turn that off without going back to the dealer and it's not easy to get back there as there is a bridge out and a lengthy detour at the moment. I think I'll get them to do it at the next oil change. If it ain't one thing, it's another.
