I have a 2012 F350 service truck. It came from Texas and you can tell it was around a lot of red dust. I just added AC refrigerant and the air is cold, but the volume of air coming out the vents is low, even though the blower sounds like it is blowing a lot of air. Any suggestions?
All the air goes through evaporator core, in very dusty/field type environments it isn’t uncommon for the evaporator to get plugged up solid with debris.
I’ve never tried cleaning one in the truck but there is probably someone on YouTube that can show you how, otherwise it’s remove dash, discharge and unhook AC, drain coolant and unhook heater core, remove HVAC box and pull the evaporator. At that point it’s probably worth just replacing it and the heater core for good measures.
