I didn't see a forum for 2017 Rangers so I figured I'd post here. My truck is a super base model 2 door 2.2L diesel 6 speed. I ordered it this way specifically to get an 8ft bed. I would like to lift it a little.
I know it's common to add blocks to the rear end to lift it but the springs are under the axle so adding blocks would actually lower the bed.
I could use longer shackles but I'm a little leary of going that route and it wouldn't do anything for ground clearance.
Another option I've thought of is moving the springs over the axle. I've measured that to result in about a 6 inch lift which might be a bit much.
Any thoughts on these or what other options might I have?
The only thing that adds ground clearance is bigger tires - so if shackles work to get you bigger tires than you’re good. Does it have torsion bars in the front? Not sure anymore, the last Ranger I owned was an 04
