Don't be surprised if the Timken bearings say CHINA,..... SKF, Bower BCA, National, etc. big names in the bearing industry but most are from...you know where

Yeah I know...
I'm definitely going to source some because now that I bought that kit, I'll either re-lube the old bearings on the original idlers, found a video on how to do it after i started to research the bearings, after I check them, or buy a new set, then I'll have an extra set to swap out.. Thanks.

Relubing the old bearings is bad.....you'll think you did them a favor but the mileage and wear is already there. Look at it as buying new shoes and re-using your old laces, it will work (for a bit) but will need to be replaced.

Along the same lines, I cringe when I see videos of people popping the seals off brand new bearings and adding more grease in order to make them better somehow. Just another way to ruin a good product. The right amount of grease is already in there.
Video was ... interesting concept, and creepy (narrating voice). Thanks for sharing, but will likely just press for "new" parts when ready - have the belt and prepping to do soon as PM, @ 75k and 7 yrs old OEM original.

Agreed... new bearings.. I will buy new bearings for the OEM set to keep as a spare on the truck now as I bought the Gates kit..
