I washed my 250 last weekend by hand since I don't trust automated washes with trucks. Not fun but had to do it after not washing it since last summer and relying on the rain to keep it looking semi presentable. Say what you will about the paint that may not be the smoothest around, but my white truck looks brand new after 9 months of tree and road debris.

Mine stay in the garage, so I can go awhile without washing. The f450 gets washed and dirty 2 days later on job sites so it’s hard.
Looks great. Looks a lot like mine but my butt is bigger (DRW) I washed mine in an automated wash yesterday. Yes, I found an automated was that will accommodate (barely) a dually
I wash my trucks with Chemical Guys Waterless Car wash. Overtime it adds a nice coat of wax. Truck gets washed 2-3 times a week, takes about 10 minutes to wash.
I only use a hose if the truck is dirty, or I haven't washed it in 5 days.
I don't suggest this method if you have to go through dirt and mud on your daily drive.

quality soap makes all the difference. i use shine supply shine soap. and their wet detailer spray as i dry. makes the following wash painless.

have you used the waterless wash for an extended period of time? I wouldn't mind giving it a whirl but I don't know anyone who has used it. The SD's height is a pain to drag a hose around to get to the roof and you almost need a crane to get to the center of the cab roof, lol.

Waterless wash products aren't a whole lot different than detail sprays. I personally wouldn't use them for a whole vehicle wash, and definitely wouldn't on anything more than slightly dirty. To use a waterless wash product correctly on a giant truck like the SD, would require a lot of rags. You basically are using one portion of the rag each wipe, or section, depending how dirty it is. I only use waterless wash for touch ups, bird poop, and as a final step on wheels.
If you don't like using a hose and water, a good rinseless wash might work for you. As long as I can use a hose and water that is my preferred wash method. You're going to have to reach the top of the cab no matter what wash product and method you choose.

Good point about the rags.
Eh, I have an oxford white one so it doesn't require too much cleaning, and I'm not too into the looks of it as long as it looks fine from 15 feet away, and the windows are clean.

I have around 30 microfiber towels. I use 3 sometimes 4 to do my Super Duty. I've washed my trucks this way since they were new. If you're going to do try to do it get on YouTube and watch a few videos, there is definitely a correct way to use waterless wash. I figure my newest truck is going to be the test since its Rapid Red, so far it looks how I expected it to.
