today, returning home from a 500 mile round trip, 15 miles from the house, some jerk tries to get into my lane while we are side by side @#$%^
hit the horn, and he/she jerked back and then I got a good view of the rattle trap.
no front grill or bumper,
no rear bumper or valance below the hatchback....

I've made my choices based on my own experiences and my friends experiences in law enforcement, military and private sector.
IMO, options like those mag mounts and even the kwickstrike mentioned here seem like terrible ideas.
Before anyone gets their feelings hurt, think about how much you actually train with your car mount versus your body mount. And if you aren't training with either, you probably shouldn't be carrying.
Lock boxes and other storage ideas are in a different category and I'm only speaking to holstering your firearm.
I'm not going to get into a debate. I use what I use and it works for me. I have had some training but by no means am I an authority.
Use what you want. And be responsible for your actions and the repercussions of your choices.
Law Enforcement uses secure quick retrieve systems all the time. I prefer bio identify system that is a natural reach-release system (thumb) like the one I previously posted.. https://varasafety.com/
It's been flawless for 4 years now. Can be programed for multiple users. Doesn't work well or transfers to/ in my Jeep Gladiator... the mount interferes with my leg.
