I am looking at coating the roof of my travel trailer since it is getting some wear due to age. the roof is EPDM. i was looking at using Henry's Tropicool 887 coating. ive seen people that say great things and others that say its bad. trying to get some feedback on from people that have actually coated or recoated their roofs and what your experience was. DIY would be preferable and ive looked at RV armor coating but the starting price of 4k is more then I'm willing to spend at this time.

 

I have not done it yet, I often read that prep and starting with a clean roof is key, also two light coats is much better than one thick one. Makes sense like anything painted. Many on RV forums use Henrys and claim it is a good product. Keep us informed.

 

I used RV Roof Magic 3 or 4 years ago and it's holding up great, I was even able to patch 3 small tears after a close encounter with a tree limb without a problem.
