2024 build assistance.

Hey gang, spec-ing out a 2024 F350 Lariat Ultimate long wheel base SRW w/HO 6.7. I have a few questions I'm thinking someone here may have the knowledge to help.
First question is gearing.
3.31 non-limited slip comes stock, "upgrades" are 3.31 LS and 3.55 LS.
Wondering what the best option would be. We tow a travel trailer with a golf cart in the bed. Maybe 13k max as far as camper weight. I'm thinking 3.55 LS, but I'm not sure why. Any thoughts?
Next is, gvwr.. I'm seeing 10k, 11k 12.4k.
I currently have an '18 F350 dually with the camper package. Anyone have an idea which gvwr option would be best?
I don't really want to add airbags but I don't want it to sag with a load either.
Also concerned about the unloaded ride, don't want it too harsh. To add the camper package on the new trucks you have to remove a couple different options (no idea why). Any thoughts?
Thanks

Optional axle ratios are not limited slip, they are electronic lockers, and either ratio will pull any load you put on it, 3.31 might get a little better fuel economy while not towing.
As to GVWR, on the F350, I do not believe you will have any option, going to be the 12.4k.
If non-towing ride is any concern, you do not want the camper package, that is for slide-in campers and increases the spring rates.
Non-towing ride quality is subjective, some say it is great, others say harsh, go test drive one.
Most reduce tire pressure to get a better ride, but that can compromise towing capacity if you go too far with that.

The SRW Super Duty comes with either an open rear diff (non limited slip) or an electronic locking rear diff. Limited slip rear diff is not available on the SRW.

I don't have much of an opinion on the ratio, although I don't think you can go wrong with 3.55. I would get the locker though.

Camper pkg requires 18" wheels, that would exclude some trim levels and option pkgs. GVWR will be determined by the build configuration, you won't have a choice unless maybe a derate.

My order is basically the same. I ordered the 3.31 elocker. I did the elocker just because it's not that expensive and may add value at some point. My previous truck was a 2020 in the same configuration except it was a Platinum. We use our truck to pull a 2020 Jayco Pinnacle with a loaded for a long trip gross weight of 14,700. Of that 3120 is our hitch weight. The 20 had the 3.31 also and had absolutely no issues pulling the Pinnacle and that includes several trips to the Colorado Rockies. Of all the fifth wheel/truck rigs we have owned it was the smoothest towing we've ever had, and that has been a few. I can't speak to the 3.55 but with 3.31 many times we would get up to 22 mpg solo highway. In the configuration you are considering the GVWR will be 12,400. Our 2020 had a yellow sticker payload capacity of 4054 pounds. I expect my new Lariat will have a bit more but not sure. It's shipped as of the 12th so may be a couple of weeks before I see it.

I got very little sag with the 20 when hooked up to our Pinnacle. I did add a set of the black Sumo Springs but not sure I needed them. I took them off when I sold it and will install them on the new one. The solo ride on my 20 was really good and pretty smooth for a big truck. We took it on several long trips without the fifth wheel and the wife never complained. The one thing different is I changed the shocks on it to a set of Fox 2.0 just a few days after I got it. I'm going to drive the new one for a bit before I decide if I want to do that with it. I did not have the camper package on the 20 nor order it on the new one. I think that is for a slide in camper.

In addition to what you see in my signature line I got fifth wheel prep, cab lights, splash guards, floor liners and rapid heat. The black appearance package, sport package and chrome package all get 20" wheels.

Stick with 3.55. I'm driving a loaner with 3.31 and it runs weird. Especially on any slight grade. And I have towed minimal with it.

It runs away from itself.

if you look back through my posts, I did a full on review/comparision for guys like you that are confused on what gear works best for you, as each person is different.
i compared my 3.45s, 3.31s and 4.30s all 2022 and 2023 model trucks towing and not towing.

I personally like 3.55s

We just got a 14k 5er a month ago and gut reaction so far over 800 miles is I wish we had the 3.55 gears. Ordered with 3.31. It pulls just fine but a little more "umph" would be nice. I think it is mostly just the shock towing something twice as heavy as before and ultimately will not be a problem. If it continues to bother me though I'll look at getting the diffs regeared

There is a little rocker switch on the gear lever, hit the down side of the rocker and get the instant little more "UMPH" you seek.
