Unknown cable hooked to throttle linkage

So I was in the process of converting my 4.9 l to an HEI distributor with a new carburetor. I noticed an extra link connected to my throttle linkage that I haven't seen in anyone else's pictures or videos. So I'm just curious if you guys might know what this is? Second picture is where the cable connects to.

Yes the same thing like posi and limited slip.
