UP DATE:

The DPF went to 55% then auto re-gened. It seems that everything is back to normal.

I think it was between 350-500 miles. I wasn't really tracking it. It depends on the type of driving I'm doing for it to build up to 50-55%.

It is not so much the soot load I suspect but the miles driven that is triggering the regen.

My current 2021 would regen at 496 miles like clockwork due to programming from Ford.

Once I disabled the regen it takes a lot longer to reach 100% soot load and then the pcm requests the regen.

My average is just over 1K miles between regens.

I'll pay attention for the next regen cycle and let you know.

Road trip this weekend. We ran from SC to Cocoa Beach, FL. We ran on Cruise Control set to 78 MPH. The DPF was at 25% at the start and cleaned itself on the highway on the way down. It stayed at 0% for the little bit of driving we did around town. Heading home, still at 0%, it went into regen as I watched the MPG drop from an average of 19.3 to 18.0. The live MPG (the sliding bar on the MPG gauge) was hovering below 10 MPG at 78 MPH. I lasted for about 10 miles and then the live MPG can back up.

If it does an auto-regen every 500 miles I must have missed one because the last time to this time was about 1000 miles.
