Timken a150 pinion seal

Anyone have a part number for the Timken a150 pinion seal for my 1954 F250? I have the exploded diagram with part numbers but nothing comes up when searching online.

Also if anyone knows what this part is? It is not attached to anything and I can freely spin it with my fingers. Is it supposed to spin freely?

I believe a modern part number option is a National 451078.

That is a shield for the pinion seal. They some times come loose as yours has. Clean it up really well and slip back in place. I have put 3 or 4 tiny spot welds spaced equally apart to fix.

Thanks for the replies. When welding the shield, which side of that picture do I weld it to? If I weld it to the right side (differential housing) wouldn't that prevent me from accessing the pinion seal?

It should be installed on the yoke itself, that spins. Sometimes you can dimple the yoke with a center punch and push it back on and it will be tight enough.

remember if you weld it to only do 3-4 tacks so you can cut them if you ever need to mess with it in the future.
