2023 F150 5.0 Rough idle, 20,000 miles
Hi Guys and Gals,
Just got this nearly new truck 5.0 from Florida, and it has a little rough idle. I have not even put gas in it yet. It is under warranty so, I figured the local Ford Dealership would know what the issue is. Well, Ford just called, no codes and not running that rough, they did NOTHING. You can easily feel it rough sitting inside with it idling. Well, I am NOT impressed. So simple ideas: plugs, MAF, throttle body....on my 30yo 5.0 I get the injectors cleaned if it ever ran rough and that would fix it. Also, probably put in some fuel additive and High test fuel. Has anyone had this issue and solved it ? Thanks.

Nothing will get solved if live data is not looked at for a Rich or Lean condition, EVAP issue etc that is not far enough out of limits to set a code.
They don't have MAF Sensors.
The system is Speed Density MAP controlled inside the Intake Manifold.
You don't really expect these expert dealers to go that far, do ya? Too much trouble and not profitable under their business model they operate in, unless hard talked into it, even then, 'snow' might fall!
No codes no trouble is how business is done.!
Good luck.
