2017 6.2L Transfer Case Output Seal
2017 6.2L Transfer Case Output Seal
Looks like my transfer case output seal is starting to leak at 104k miles. Does anyone have the service manual procedure for replacement on a non-slip yoke transfer case? Everything I have found through searching is all short bed, 1 piece slip yoke drivelines. I have the long wheel base with the flange style 2 piece driveline.
I already got the new seal, just looking for a little guidance for the replacement before I get started.
thanks!

How did it go?
Hey Carl, first of all, it seems like you received no help, which sucks. I was wondering how it went, though? I have a 2017 f250 6.2L, and today I have noticed my seal is leaking as well. Was it a piece of cake replacing the seal?
Put in 4 lo when parking
Double chock wheels
Mark driveline orientation
Remove driveline
Spray with dish soap and pressure wash the area
Remove output flange bolt with impact gun
Output flange slides right out
Pull seal with a seal puller
Clean seal surface and area with some brake cleaner
Drive the new seal in (I used seal/bearing driver kit)
Replace flange
Reinstall driveline (keeping original orientation) using new bolts
Top off/change fluid with Mercon LV
Overall it took maybe 2 hours
