I bought my dads 1957 F100 from him two years ago and I finally landed a position where I can have my project come home.
he bought the truck from my Tio in Baja when I was a kid about 20 years ago and it basically sat ever since. I had the top end rebuilt in 2021 from a family friend’s shop along with new tires and breaks. Plus got a new gas tank installed.
I planned on flying down and driving it home to eureka ca from San Diego but two babies and life got in the way. So now here we are I got a new job near San Diego and my kids are big enough I got the okay form my wife to bail for a weekend and drive Blue home.
It doesn’t have too much rust for being a Mexico truck for a while It is painted in a ****ty blue paint hard to discern if it actually Automotive paint or house paint in a few spots.
I plan on moving both axle to spring under following Martin Torres posts. After that I’ll match the mirrors and remove the bumpers for a clean look. And building a fun little weekend truck for little car shows here in the eastern sierra and possibly up to Reno for hot august nights.
