Have owned my 2008 F-350 5.4 3V for about ten years. Put money into it when it needed but wanted something a little newer. The 08' has been a great plow truck and landscaping truck but doesn't get out of its own way.
Was looking used and just couldn't find anything that was worth moving on. Single cab Market is very funny.
First one was an 18' 6.2 gas with 63K miles, original tires, original battery and $2000 worth of dealer fees before I even leave the lot. $1500 prep fee and some $500 dealer security fee. So I was at about 36K for that out the door.
Second one was a plow truck I found in Buffalo. Looked great on paper, 22' 6.2 gas with 14k miles, newer V plow. When I got the dealership looking it over found some fresh damage on the door pillar and underneath the truck where possibly a frame puller was mounted to. Dealer had no idea how that happened. Anyway that was $50,500.
Started looking at new and found a few nice gas options but all around $52,000-$56,000 and not to mention the 7.3 XL only comes in the STX which I don't need and brings you over $60k. Special Order truck with the 6.8 brought me right to $55,000.
Anyway found this 23' F-350 6.7 at a dealer in PA.
