Rear End Tag
I'm thinking about getting a used SD 4x4 next Spring and have noticed that some of the ID tags inside the doors don't have an axle code that I can decipher. I've been looking at the tags on the rear end housing, but I can't make sense of the numbers. Can some one help?

Bottom row will start with 3 numbers (the first of which might be partly or totally covered with the bolt head. These numbers are your gear ratio and if they have the letter "L" between the first two it is a limited slip. (remember that if the first number is covered it might look like it says "L73" or "73" for 3.73:1 or "L11" or "11" for 4.11:1 both with and without limited slip).
This will be to the left of where it says "10 5" (which stands for 10.5 inch ring gear).
