Hello, Webb Wilcox here.
I have had several Fords in the past and am looking for help/info on a new Ford purchase.
Want to buy a 2024 f250 xl diesel 4dr 4x4 or same with the gas 6.8 engine.
How does the transmission hold up behind both engines. I won't tow often or heavy loads just a couple round hay bales 2000lb total.
Anything else to be concerned about?Thank you and hope this is in the right place.

Hi there, Webb. Welcome to the forum. We hope the information here helps in with your decision!

Are you aware the 6.7 diesel and the 6.8 gas have completely different transmissions? The 6.7 diesel and the 7.3 gas have similar transmissions.
If I weren't hauling often or heavy loads I would probably get a different vehicle than a Super Duty and add a trailer. Why pay extra for fuel and poor ride quality?
Welcome to the forum. From the little you gave us a super duty is overkill, a Bronco could handle it. If you want a truck a Maverick, Ranger or F150 are all up to your towing needs and with a hybrid you can get great fuel economy.
