Hi all, hoping to get some input on adjusting caster.
Recently leveled my dads 06 F250 with 2 inch blocks in the front and f550 springs, while i was there I did balljoints and tierods.
Got it back from the alignment shop earlier thus week and they refused to adjust caster.
Keep in mind I'd bring it to another shop for him, but there's really only one shop for alignments in Ketchikan
Does anyone know what caster sleeve to put in?
Those can adjust caster separate from camber so you can lock both in. With a normal eccentric you can move one and tweak the other, but its all a compromise game. You can have caster and camber is off side to side or you have camber and caster is off, or you just blend and accept both being off by a bit but closer than if you locked one. With duals you can lock both in.
Thay caster is way off. You want it closer to 5*. Probably going to need radius arm drop brackets to get it there. Caster bushings are not going to get it that far. Only about 2-2.4 with the bushings.
I'm guessing the truck was lifted without radius arm drop brackets. Even if you could get the caster dialed in with bushings, you'd still want some radius arm drop brackets because with the arms at a steep angle, the ride is rougher even with the same springs /shocks compared to a radius arm that's more parallel to the ground.
