Windshield Wipers
93 Ford F150 Reg Cab 4x4 flareside. Ok new problems. I put new wiper blades on the windshield. I am having a problem. The work great at sitting and low speed. The driver side starts lifting at about 40MPH and does not clean the windshield. Is there and adjustment to make the spring stronger?

The arm may be bent. new arms are still sold from ford, with J hooks too

You were right. There was not enough arch in the wiper arm so I bent it a little today and then it rained all the way home from work. The wipers worked great. The drivers side was the one that was not working great so I ben it a little and did the same to the passengers side. Made a huge difference and now no problems. Of course, I already ordered a new set of arms from LMC so now I have to see if I can sell them or return them.

This problem is a result of the windshield rake.. it's too steep and creates air turbulance at higher speed. They used to sell little wings to clip on the wiper arm which did help, and then some wipers encorporated a wing shape in the blade to accomplish the same thing. Bottom line is do whatever you need to do to make them work, new wiper arms may or may not make any difference.
