Hello, I got a low tire alert (not sure why since the tire displayed was only 2PSI low and in the shade while all the rest had been sitting in the sun). Anyway. I followed the directions:
Key on Hazards pushed 3 times - horn honk and panel states to proceed.
Aired down each tire until the horn horn honked for each and panel said programing complete.
I then filled the tires back up to the 56PSI I run when empty expecting the issue to be resolved - Wrong.
Now when I start it I get the alert that the 2 rear tires are low and the symbol on the dash is illuminated..
Anyone have issues with not being able to reset the sensors? I might give it another try in the morning when it's cool outside. If it does not work a second time I may go talk to my buddy at discount tire. I'd hate to run it through the stealership for something so minor.
You either need to go into forscan and change the warning pai or the rear wheels or air them up to something like 65 psi. They are set to 80 psi in the rear, and the waring comes on about 60.

I just did this on my 23 last month after a tire rotation and had no issues. Did you drive it over 20mph for at least 2 min before you started the reset procedure? As djousma mentioned, if you can’t change the values in FORSCAN, then you might have to run your rears over 60.
Strange, I can't be the only person running below 60PSI when empty.....
What is the pressure shown on the jamb sticker? You shouldn't get an alert until right around 20% above or below the recommended PSI. If you have a 250 with recommended 65 PSI rear, I wouldn't expect the alert to come on until around 52 PSI.
The one time I had a tire trigger the TPMS alert, it took me filling to recommended PSI for the light to go out. No relearn procedure, just drive it.
Will the alert go away when I air them up to tow or will I have to jump through the relearn hoops again?
It's strange I got the warning. I've been running empty at 56PSI for a while with no issues..... I enjoy the truck a lot less at 65+ PSI.

Kidding aside, I run 56-58 F, 60-62 R cold. I also lowered the warning threshold with FORSCAN.
I know you do not have it, maybe someone local does and can adjust it for you.

And just for the record, "retraining" procedure is only for telling the truck what sensor is at what location. does nothing to retrain tire pressures. Also Forescan is free, just have to buy a bluetooth or wired OBD adapter to do the changes. that was the first change I made to my new truck, lowering the PSI to 60 all the way around so that the warnings dont come on when I air down to 60 all the way around.

They vary a bit depending on wheel size and sometimes option pkg (like Tremor). With 20" wheels on a 250, they list 65 on the rear. No idea what the OP is working with, just giving him an example. Your TPMS light should come on right around 60 PSI.
