I recently posted that I was looking for a 2 bolt nose cone for a 7.3 to do the 6.7 starter mod . Byron thrower65@outlook.com replied saying he would send me one for 50$ including shipping. So I sent him the 50$. Now he’s telling me he wants another 45$ to cover shipping. I told him no I wasn’t going to pay any more. If he really did make a mistake and can’t sell it to me for the original 50$. Then send my money back no harm no foul. Now he won’t respond to me! If he does send me my money back then I will apologize for this post.
his name was given to me by member that goes by remich. Don’t know if it’s the same person or not?

Last night we reviewed your original "2 bolt starter nose cone wanted" thread on Marketplace, and did not find that remich participated at all in that thread, not even to recommend that you contact another member.
The thread itself shows who did reach out to you to say that they had "them available for sale."
Does this refresh your recollection, if you look at your own original thread, by clicking the link in the sentence above bearing your thread's title?
While we want to help, and we don't want scammers using our members, or the resources of FTE, to perpetuate fraud, we must at the same time bear in mind the rules governing the free usage of FTE Marketplace.
Because these Marketplace rules are hiding in plain site, and require clicking a link, I will repost Rules #1 and #4 below:

We are not responsible!
We provide these classifieds as a service which is free to you to utilize and we (FTE/Ford-Trucks, Internet Brands and its moderators/administrators/employee's) are not responsible for dealings throughout the forum with other members and/or sponsors of the forum.
We encourage you to utilize the advice listed in item 4 to prevent the possibility of a bad dealing, but again we remind you we are not responsible for the outcome if it is less than pleasant

Be careful!
Sadly it is easy to get swindled over the Internet, but utilize some common sense and it will reduce the likelihood of this occurring. Some general things to look out for:
Person will not give you a phone number, and wants to only deal with you over the Internet
Person will not deal in person
Person wants you to make payment to a different name
Person wants to do a trade
Person wants to send you a check for the item.
Person has very low post count, and does not work with you to get you comfortable i.e. by furnishing references or a phone number
Person will not answer your questions in detail
Person has negative feedback in the Feedback Forum
If you cannot deal in person (and we recommend you utilize cash when dealing in person), utilize an intermediate payment service which offers a dispute resolution service such as paypal
Update on scam. Administration contacted me saying they couldn’t find the post from remich. That is because he private message me telling me to contact Bryan thrower65&outlook.com. He asked for a digital gift card through PayPal. So I did it that way. I’ve contacted PayPal and they’re working on it. The problem is these digital gift cards leave the PayPal app and it’s harder for them to reimburse you. Obviously the POS knew that when he wanted to get paid that way. I’m not blaming this site for what happened. Just wanted people to be aware of this. I guess I’m just old and grew up in a time when your word or hand shake meant something.
You see that scam all over the place. "Some guy" says his buddy has whatever you are looking for and to contact him at xxxxx.com. But it's the same person. You pay and then they both, actually he, disappears.
