To my heartbreak I found that I do not have the ELD in my 2023 XL - but can someone tell me if I have at least a limited slip - it is a 4x4 package. 3.55 gears but since the truck is not with me where I can't check it out right now(long story sigh) I looked at my paperwork and it says nothing about the rear end other than the gears. Thanks
Not even an electronic locker. I don't think you can get an LS in an F150 these days. When you could, it was ridiculously expense in the last few years they were offered.
You can get this, and it's better than anything Ford would have installed.
Your sticker also says Select shift.
If you have a shift mode called Wet/Snow, there may be more traction than you know about at this time.
In that mode, the ABS Brake system is involved in rear traction control.
To do this, separate wheel speed Sensors are used to detect wheel loss of traction each side separately.
This causes the ABS to apply the rear brake on that side only to force Drive torque to the other side.
This may be all new to you but believe me it works very well.
I have it on my 2018 with E lock but in that mode, one does not use E-Lock or it defeats the torque transfer for the purpose I just described
In that mode, the function is 99% transparent to the driver, it works so fast by modulating the control transfer so fast full time. side to side as needed.
.
In an E-Locked rear, a loss of traction to both wheels is not what you want for normal road driving. The system unlocks the rear above 25 and allows re-locking at 20 mph.
So E-Lock is only useful at road speeds under 25 mph in 2wd and 4h and full time off road in 4L crawling speeds where both wheels need traction full time when one wheel is off the surface..
Big difference in applications.
Good luck.

Thanks Blue Grass- Like I said the last new truck I had was in 1980- a Toyota 4x4 sport bed- I have a 67 IH Scout and has a Detroit locker in the back and it's clanky sometimes in town lol. I bought this 23 F150 last year and due to medical issues, I haven't driven it very far- my daughter has it at her house. Getting old sucks- BUT I think by this summer I'll be able to get out to the back country of N. Utah- and getting stuck would not be a good thing.
