No, you need a torx bit, screw driver and about 2 hours to do a good job.
And thats IT, ohh and a 12v line along with a ground. But I have custom lighting i did few years back, and I just used those lines. Its all on a switch so at night I just hit the switch (as i always did for the lights) and my gauges turn on.
Also they just slide over the needles so no need for recalibration
Ar far as taking it apart, your front dash. Just the drivers side, including the window control, light control and then that little holder thingie. But it is very easy removing it. Just make sure you put it back right, i had to do it like 3 times cuz i kept screwin up.
debayfishing,
how difficult was the install? normally i'd be against such a mod, but i like the look. and that stock green u get at night is kinda boring. -wb
Broncobillybob, The install was not to bad,Take your time here!!! Hardest part for me was sliding new gauges over the needles!!!When you pull the gauge cluster out take it in the house and put it on the table and pull up a chair. They doe come with directions
how does gauge cluster come out? do the connections unconnect similar to a radio wire harness? i think i read earlier in this thread u don't to recalibrate needles is this correct? -wb
