I have 1977 ford f350 box truck,330 v8 with dual rear wheels.
it has 8.00-16.5lt tires on 16.5" rims with 8 lugs.i would like to switch to a 16" wheel and tire but i am not sure what year wheels will fit this truck.does anyone know what years i should look for?
i would try a ford 8 lug duely wheel off a 93-94 etc f350. should bolt right up if i am not mistaken. just go to a local tire store, or junk yard, and pick one up, and try them on. be sure they clear the hub properly, and seat up to the drums/rotors. all the ford 8 lug duellys use the same bolt patern .
old uhaul
all ford 8 lug wheels are 6 1/2" bolt circle until
body change in 99 ,then they went to the metric junk.
i have mickey thompson classic ii wheels on mine.
they are 16 x 8 with 265/75r 16 michelins. fit great and fill up the fender wells [2wd] .
sorry torque1st . . . i will do better i promise !
and old uhaul, yes your dual rear wheels are different than my
single rear wheel trucks. the dual rear wheels are normally
16 x 5" or 6" and do have a unique offset so the wheels fit
together in the back, which is also why your front hub is also
special, to work with the "dually" wheel.
good luck
