Hi, I just joined up to ask a question. My friend has a 46 truck and I said it is a F100. Someone mentioned that the F100 sig. didnt happen till 53 or so. I dont want to miss represent this truck, and I havent really looked at the truck well enough to see if its a F1 or F100 sig. on it. Here's a picture of the truck,
But as far as that truck goes, it's named by its size. For example, that is a 1/2 ton pickup so it is referred to as a 1/2 ton pickup. Where as an F-1 would be a 1/2 ton pickup from '48-'52, and an F-100 would be from '53 to whenever.
thanx. I will stick around, I do plan on getting an old Ford truck one year. If I can, I do want my friends 1/2 ton but I have 4 projects on the go, and no room for more. I have a 68 Fairlane fastback 390/C6, 70 Cougar 351C/4 speed 80 Fairmont 4 speed, and my father in laws truck ( 68 dodge d200 383/auto) Im fixing for my wife. It never ends
