Cold weather starting PSD.
I've got a 2000 PSD. It sits outside 24/7. I'll plug in the block heater at 30 degrees and below, let the glow plugs cycle and start it. I have started it at -10* without the heater, starts fine. I highly suggest a grille cover if your around a lot of cold weather.

My truck also sits out 24/7. Plugging it in is inconvenient with the situation of my driveway. I get in, turn the key on and wait for the WTS light to go out and it fires off everytime. It's never been plugged in, nor have the 2 PSD's I drive at work. I've been driving them unplugged since 1995.
