Scan shows right and left wheel sensor faults. I live on a gravel road and in the winter the mud cakes under the car toward the rear. This happened last year and after cleaning in the spring, the code went away. This year I pressure washed the undercarriage and checked the sensors, which were caked in mud. Cleaned them up and no change. I looked closer at the reluctor rings and they appear to have been ground smooth, in comparison to the fronts which have raised segemnts.
I think this is the problem, but not sure. Should I first replace the sensors? During some brief research it appears the rings are not replaceable, that I need to replace the entire hub. Is this correct? Also, I'm concerned with the aftermarket hub. Photos show the reluctors are smooth. Different design?
