Hope everyone is doing well..And can get some pics/instructions?
Im installing (moving my frame mount brake) a CPP Firewall brake pedal in my 1955 Ford F-100. Wondering about the installation? I called CPP to check on some things and they informed me that you basically slide the pedal bracket up inside the cab and measure/drill the holes for it(no recent instructions for it----the ones on their website are old). Old instructions show it 7 inches down from the cab seam on the first rib(but they said DONT use that as a guide) They were very helpful.....
I dont want to misdrill and then have extra air conditioning in my cab. Ha.
I have a set of spacers cut in half that appear to go around the rib of the cab.
Has anyone RECENTLY installed that on their firewall? Where is the 2 1/2 inch hold located on your all's setup? On the rib, etc, how far down, etc???
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated before I dork it up.
Have not installed the cpp but I installed an s-10 pedal, booster and master in my 55. Pretty sure we just put the pedal up in the dash and mocked it up where wanted it (comfortable to drive) and found a reference point to measure on the outside to make sure the booster and master wasn't going to interfere with anything. I did run close to my front end rods that run from the firewall to the rad support.
