I saw a company truck for a new linex location in town while at the local store. I asked the guy about my truck and he said about $300 more than black would get the bed done in light blue. He doesn't recommend white because he said it turns yellow. I am considering it but have to get a few more things taken care of first.
I know the brand is expensive but my son has had a few trucks done and swears by them. Any thoughts on an old truck getting the treatment?
Any of those products, "I used Raptor and did it myself", are only as good as what they are applied over. If the bed is rust free, properly prepped and epoxy primed, they will last. All of these products have a clear that can be tinted.
I used Monstaliner on my old 4runner. did all of the exterior. it's a roll-on application.
Monstaliner has a softer finish and doesn't scratch you if you brush up against it, Linex is like rough sandpaper. Plenty of colors with monstaliner too. they will send you a color sample for free.
I would intentionally scratch my keys against the monstaliner to prove its toughness to people. no scratches, no cuts, nothing. worked great. Monstaliner do-it-yourself roll-on truck bed liner outperforms Herculiner Bed Liner, Duplicolor and Rustoleum Road Warrior
Cool, thanks for the heads up on this. How long has yours been on your truck?
I am digging the "Kryon" vibe of my truck and think this would be a nice "upgrade".
It's been on for a couple of years. I sold the 4runner earlier this year, was time for a new project.
I just sanded down the original paint, then rolled on the monstaliner, (no primer). it held up fine, but next time I would use primer of some kind.
