more info please.
will it try to crank when you turn the key?
air, fuel, spark.
you need all 3 for things to work.
check your fuel filters, fuel level, battery, etc.

My truck will turn over but it won’t fire. I have a new YF one barrel that I just put on and then having trouble adjusting it out.
I pulled a spark plugs and they were fouled, so I’ve replaced them with the old set. I took out. They were clean post them off, put them back in steel no fire, the distributor cap cleaned points or the rails on it the rotor button.
Poor spark plug had to see if it was getting spark. It’s not the last thing the truck did shut off on me going down the road shut off while idling and when it was running, it was spitting sputtering and bouncing. I had a bad fuel filter, but I only run non-ethanol gas in it, but I don’t know I just got I have no fire advice and knowledge

It sounds like you are saying it has no spark? If no spark, start testing.

I ran at a truck stop once, caught her too, She was working the back row, but we had a warrant for .... oh wait, that maybe not what you meant?

I saw the title "Truck stop running"

You mention just putting a new carburetor on (new?) and trouble adjusting it?
Have you maybe tried a shot of gas or starting fluid down the carburetor throat as someone tries starting it?
You didn't say if it had spark?

My truck stopped running. lol not!!

Yeah, I see what you’re saying there Lee driver. No spark spins, but does not fire and no I haven’t done much not much time to do with work. Two jobs and a little side hustle with two K9 kids.
OK, so to the problem last week my truck cut off wow I was driving down the road couple times, but fired back up and went on about and then Monday. It shut off while I was driving and then it shut off twice while idling and then the the truck ran very rough, jerking spit, and sputtering and then when I got it to the house and shut it off, it hasn’t crank since that was Monday. I pulled the spark plugs. They were fouled so I cleaned them reinstalled clean distributor.
This being my first time using this site I mean as far as posting I’ve used it and got a lot of knowledge on other things, but I’m gonna start out with the basement start testing it up fuel filters, new plugs, new wires, and My starter and have it tested.
yes, I did put a new carburetor on by a month ago and I’ve been trying to get it seems like it runs, but either I lose fuel mileage or one part of the day it wants to run like rough kind of skipping. Kinda like I can’t get my, automatic joke, and mixture screw to where they need to be.
But I do appreciate the replies and the ideals and the knowledge and more go the testing route and go with the step-by-step procedure and get it figured out once again I do appreciate your knowledge thank you very much. I’ll let you know everything out lol.

If it just shut off like someone turned the key off and being a 79 model year I would say the ICM, the box on the inner fender with 2 plugs, stopped working.
When you get a new one from the parts store do not go for the cheap ones, spend a little coin for the better ones as they will last longer.

If you replace it and still dose not have spark keep a box in the truck for when it will go bad.
You dont even need to bolt it down just unplug and plug the other box in.
