Shift Cable 2006 F650
Good morning.
Currently looking for a shift cable for a 2006 F650.
It has the 5.9 Cummings with the Allison transmission.
I've called everywhere I can think of and have searched all over the net but I have not been able to identify a source.
Does anyone know of a source I could try?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Last I swam in that end of the pool, I remember there being a distinct difference between the "everyday car/truck" dealer parts department, and the "heavy duty" dealer parts department. I know I had to call different people, for the F550+, and the C5500+ trucks in the fleet, as opposed to just the "run of the mill" SD's or HD's. Have you tried the fleet companies in your area?

You are absolutely correct.
Cummins is so tight lipped, its hard to get information from them without spending a lot of dough.
Then Ford has discontinued a lot of the parts for the F650's of those years.
I've tried all the HD places I know of in my area.
I swear I'm looking for a unicorn.
These old gals have a lot of life left in them (and they are pre DEF).
Just trying to keep them rolling for awhile longer.
I was wishing someone would just say, "hey, I know a place; call these guys".
Unfortunately, that has not happened yet.

Thanks for the info folks.
It got my wheels turning and I decided to call the Ford dealership again.
Got the head parts guy on the phone and within a few seconds he had located the cable.

Just goes to show you the importance of speaking to someone who knows what they are talking about.
I don't know if you guys have noticed, but it is getting really hard to find good parts salespeople now adays.
