Canadianfordman: Way to go!!!!!! I think a few of us said your first sale would be a Focus, although I did not narrow it down to a wagon. Keep up the good work. You are fortunate to have a job that you love and are making decent money at the same time. Don't forget to aim for your own dealership someday. Good luck again. Brien
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-Jul-02 AT 09:46 AM (EST)]Canadianfordman,
Also, remember to follow thru with what you say. If you are going to check on something, check on it. If you are going to call someone back, call them. If you need to keep a little notepad for reminders, do so. Many people lose track of the things they tell others they are going to do.
Above all, be honest. Liars are often caught.
I worked in many dealership service departments as service manager and as service advisor, and the honesty thing works best. If you can't do or give what someone asks, tell them.
Good luck and much success. My years at the dealerships were some of my happiest. They were also some of my most profitable!!
Thanks all and I totally agree, one of the first things I was told is be honest because it will come bacck to bite you ine the rear. Another thing was if you don't know something say so. Its alot easier to look in a book then to have to come up with an excuse for why you gave the person the wrong information.
