Parts compatiable

Hi,
I would like to know what parts will swap from other blocks.
I have a 302 2v 1972 truck .
What parts from other blocks with exchange.
Say will a 351 intake fit my 302
or will a 289 fit my 302.
Is there a general rule to follow.
Thanks for any help on this.

the 289 intake will fit a 302 but i believe that the 351 intakes will not fit on either.

f100guy is correct 351 intake will not work on the 302. The heads will swap, however, the 351 has head bolt holes to fit 1/2" bolts and the 302 are smaller so if you go with 302-351 you need them opened up. If you go 351-302 you need to use bushings that fit into the head bolt holes. The cams interchange. Timing covers interchange but they are different ones, such as, standard and reverse rotation designs for specific water pumps otherwise they will interchange. Rockers interchange if they are pedastal or stud mount specific to the head. You can use the 302 standard type pistons with 351 rods and stroker cranks to produce 393. There are a couple of other little things. Later
