It's time to replace the front and rear sway bar bushings on my 96-F-350 CC dually. I picked up a set from O"Reilly Auto Parts but the two packages had mismatched
bushings, Precision brand bushings / Chinese, say no more.. The local dealer no longer carries the OEM parts. I've looked on line and found many sources, eg. ebay, amazon, etc., claiming to have the right part number which is #5484. When scrolling through the various sites claiming to have the correct bushing but in addition to the number there is a BA, MA,B, D, JA. Which is correct? Is there a source other than the sketchy online sites? I micd the bushing and the sway bar and if my eyes are reading it right, the bar/hole diameter is 27mm x 2 1/2" (H) x 1 7/8 (W). Is 27mm correct? What have you guys found and where is the best place to get a set of front and rear bushings. Thanks.
I used Moog’s website to help obtain compatibility on suspension parts. When you link a vehicle it will list parts that fit and have descriptions for them. I replaced my sway bar bushings this way as there are 2 sizes for my 95.
I was able to find the Ford OEM bushings at a Ford dealer in Memphis and another in Denver matching my VIN #. I went with Ford parts and eliminated the on line fit uncertainty. Thank for your replies.
