lou'place
i started the truck to let warm up and charge the battery i was getting my other truck stared i had to go out. then i heard the 94 stop running sound like it ran out of gas ( which it did not) so i tried to start it but it would not start'
it did have a slight smell of burnt wire so in the processes of trying to fix it , i put in a new module (or brain ) , ignition coil and a new distributor complete with cap and rotor. the spark plug wires where changed not to long ago and very good
the truck cranks over very good but no start.i tried a spark tester no spark i checked all the fuses all are good what else is left
thanks Lou from Lou's place
See if your ignition coil has juice when the key is on (red wire) and the other one should blink when cranking (if the distributor magnetic pickup is any good)
The little ignition coil capacitor (RFI) that hooks to the tach wire of the coil if equipped; If that shorts out you will have no spark
So, check that little single wire going into that cap for being frayed
Check the fuel pressure anyway just for GPs
Check the codes just in case the processor is fried or to give you direction like a code 18 for instance or 212
Good luck, have fun

Have you checked the wiring around the battery and alternator? There are fusible links so look carefully to see if one of them might have burnt. What are you calling a “module or brain?” Where is this part located that you replaced?
