2002 F-250 lariat 4x4 7.3 powerstroke. 4x4 went from working great to not working at all overnight. When shifted into four high, it does not do anything; no power to the dash and no clicking for the relays. I swapped out the 4 x 4 switch and swapped with another used gem module. Neither has worked. I have noticed that I am not getting any power to the two wire plug to the actuator when first initiating 4 x 4. I also realized that the relay block under the hood that is responsible for going into 4 x 4 or 2 x 4 has no power as well. If anyone can give me any leads on what to look for next and as to why the relay block has no power. I’d much appreciate it.
Pull that garbage electric shift transfer case out and swap a manual shift one in.
You don't have to swap the actual transfer cases anymore. There is a direct bolt in kit to manually shift the 273 now (see link below), and the 273 is just as strong as the 271, the two cases are almost identical really, the 273 doesn't have a true neutral detent like the 271 does though. No need to even remove the driveshafts to convert to reliable manual shifting.

True that is a good option as well but I like to have a true neutral and working 4x4 lights.
I agree, but for the cost and ease of installation, I’ll give up the true neutral (never really use that anyway, and it wasn’t an option when it was electronic shifted anyway).
