Removing 302 Engine
A friend of mine is helping me pull the 302 from my 1977 F-100 and I need a couple of tips.I've already got down to everything except disconnecting the exhaust and unbolting the engine mounts.The problem is..The exhaust manifold/pipe connection is rusted together.The bolts are so rusted that even the correct socket won't work on them without slipping.I've tried both Standard and Metric.Anyway,I think the only thing that I can do now is just cut the pipe just behind the manifold.Then,everything should be a-okay.I'll give it a shot.Anyway,thanks for the help.

If you have an old socket that is slightly smaller than the nut, hammer that baby onto the nut, then heat the stud/manifold red hot with a torch. Hopefully the stud will then come out of the manifold, then replace the studs with new.
