I don’t know exactly. On my way home right not I’ll keep you updated. The guy I bought it from bought it from mabbco motors as a crate motor. Installed it than was forced to sell it to save his marriage.

The 47032 elbow? I think that is just a generic barbed elbow, hollow on the inside. It does not appear to be valve/elbow combo, like the one in post #13 above.

Back to what is currently installed. Is that just an open fitting? I'm still puzzled by the straight fitting painted gray. Makes me wonder if the valve covers (or maybe the entire engine) came from something like a marine or industrial application.

If it is a valve. motor off if you shake it dose it rattle? then you re good.
If the other end of the hose goes to the base of the carb then we are good again.

What air filter dose the motor have, factory or open after market?
After market then I would say you are ok but if factory that breather cap in the other valve cover is not right.
Factory has a hole in the top center that a grommet and a fitting, like the 2 parts you posted before, go in and a hose then goes up to the filter housing.
On the inside of the filter housing there should be a little filter held to the housing with a clip on the outside.

This is a breather filter that filters the air before it is pulled into the motor because the PCV is pulling air out.

as of right now I don’t have an air cleaner on her.

yes if I shake it, it does rattle. Yes the hose goes to the base of carb.

so if I get an aftermarket air cleaner I’m good with the current set up?

Yes on the after market filter housing but .........
A factory housing controls the carb intake temp blending cool outside air and hot air from the exh manifold using doors and vacuum.
This makes the motor run at it's best and slow down wear.

Yes everyone runs the open aftermarket filters. This pulls in hot air from the engine bay.
A open filter is better than no filter at all.
