Shift indicator light WRONG

Shift indicator light WRONG
I have a 07 ford explorer Eddie Bauer, 4.0 2wd. Just purchased 2 months ago. A new engine was just installed in it, and the transmission is 2 years old rebuilt. The DIGITAL shift light indicator on the dash is stuck on Neutral. The truck shifts into each gear, and when put into reverse the backup lights come on. But the dash won’t change. Transmission was overfilled, and drained to the correct operating level.

The PRNDL switch in the transmission is not synced..

a new neutral safety switch was also installed

It may be NEW, but was it adjusted correctly ?

it’s still having the issue. Nothing changed. The digital dash is still saying it’s in neutral. No matter what gear it’s put in.
