ForScan and Apple computer

Hello I would like to add the DPF filter % on the menu of my 2018 F250, can anyone tell me if I can use FORScan on an apple computer to install that, or is it better to use a PC with windows? Thanks

You need Windows, BUT you can run windows on a Mac a couple of different ways: Google bootcamp or virtual machine. I run Forscan on a Macbook Pro using Windows 11 runinng under Parallels. It can work, but unless you have access to tech savy assitance a cheap windows notebook will be the better answer.

We runs macs at home but I bought a cheap pc laptop just for forscan. Even in 2024 there are things that just aren't mac friendly. Not worth the risk when dealing with the ecm.

I'm a Mac guy and didn't want anything Windows on my Mac, period. So I just bought a basic HP laptop from Best Buy for like $260 bucks. Thats the only thing that computer gets used for is FORScan and maybe FDRS one day.
