Looking at buying a 1974 F100 and can already tell it needs a little bit of love. There is a cover missing from some sort of container in the far back left corner of the engine bay. Not super familiar with the engine options that were available so just trying to figure out what it is and how much it might cost to get a replacement. Thanks!
wow. that is the ac/heater apparatus that is missing and from my assessment looks to be rusty and long gone. parts truck or fab one yourself is only way I know to obtain that exact cover good luck
X2 that "container" is your a/c evaporative assembly / heater core box. That is your blowe motor squirl cage you see. And yes that cover (#19A802) is normally riveted on. You need that part installed to make the system work properly. They must of replaced the blower motor thru the none normal, but doable way. That will be a JY sourced part, I have never seen just that part reproduced. If you can not find one local, ebay ect...I have a way to get you one from my local JY.
