Powersteering my Excursion, or lack of
Being old and weak it's probably me, but I don't recall my Excursion being so hard to steer as it suddenly got the last few weeks. In the morning when I first crank it up I can barely turn the steering wheel (at a full vehicle stop) with out easing the engine RPM's above 1,000. My dealer says that is not uncommon and is to be expected in that truck size.............hmmmmm, up until a few weeks ago I could sit still and rotate it lock to lock with two fingers. There are times now that it reminds me of manual steering systems. Anyone else having this situation and if so, what were you able to do about it?
On the safety side, as soon as I'm rolling it's OK but RPM's are up by then.

Look in the SD forum about this very subject. Although I don't experience this problem, it is quite interesting. I take it you've checked the belt tension...
