Another question about coolant ...

Picked up some Yellow POAT coolant, in preparation for a coolant flush/replacement.
Watching the Ford Makuloco guy's videos has me confused. In one video, he warns about using tapwater with the POAT coolant as it will react with the minerals in plain tap water, yet in his FLUSH video, he uses the garden hose to flush the system. Surely some tap water will remain in the system when he adds the new coolant?
I've decided not to tempt fate and will do all of my flushes with distilled water instead...the stuff is fairly cheap, but since I cant get a forceful flush like he does with the hose....I'm wondering if I should even bother with the VC-1 chemical flush?
Furthermore, the label on the new coolant says to achieve a 50/50 ratio of coolant to water....how can I be certain that I don't exceed 60% coolant, when I don't know how much water is left behind in the block after a flush?

Ok, the minimal amount of water residual from the garden hose is negligible and after you flush it out using the hose, then if you really want to be picky, dump a couple of gallons of distilled water through the radiator and you will be good to go. As far as the residual water left, again it is so minimal it will have no effect on your coolant. You can also verify the coolants cooling/freezing capability by purchasing a bulb tester and it will tell you exactly you are at....

Flush coolant system, then take whatever brand you want to use as antifreeze and mix it with distilled water, if you wish, or use tap water and mix it to whatever percentage and refill coolant system. You can't go wrong doing it that way. Remember to burp your system after refilling. You might have a little left over. Simple enough? I use Peak full strength and mix it how I want, and that is simple out of the radiator.

I've never had the first bit of trouble with my coolant systems, from BMW to Ford, and now a Toyota Sequoia. I honestly don't understand what the stink might be about Ford trucks and european cars is, when you walk into an Autozone, O'reillys or Advance, or even the dealer, concerning all the variants of antifreeze. I'm just saying that my experience has been to do it the same way.with all of them. I have never had a problem.
I'm speaking only to gas engines.
