My wife’s excursion has had a fading brake pedal issue since we got it about six months ago, I replaced the Hydro boost and it got a lot better. I replaced the rear brakes because they were shot and it got a lot better and then I finally replaced the master cylinder and got somewhat better and I’m bled the system. It still seems to sync when you push on the pedal and hold it. And also, it seems like it’s hard to stop. Is there an ABS valve on the rear axle or something else that I’m missing?
I finally was able to find my problem (99% sure) I tried to re bleed my brakes yesterday. No air at all in the system. .
i took a mini screw diver and inserted it into the test port for the ABS valve, the inner valve moved about 1” whenever I had someone pressing the brake pedal. So it’s by passing fluid. I’m going to get a new used one from the junk yard today
I’ll keep you guys updated. The only think I’m worried about is having to re program it to my vehicle. But I believe I can just remove the electronic side and swap them so there’s no codes. But maybe I don’t even need to do that?
