I agree that's practically no rust at all. Some folks over here are trying to fix trucks that you can see thru. It looks like it has a Dana rear axle. Most were Ford 9 inch. Post a picture of the warranty plate.
If you could only but see the rusted-out hulks that some over-enthusiastic buyers here drool over - the same POS which I would not even consider looking at - you’d appreciate having access to such an decent example in the UK. I’m personally pulling for you to go Ford, but any old iron is good, IMO. Good luck on your search.
Thanks for all the help. Seller wont budge on price and I’ve now decided to increase budget. That truck was £25,995.
I’m travelling over next week but can only get to view one of these trucks so I’d really like to get some input from experienced owners which would be the better buy, better value, easier to live with, get parts etc, and half value.
I think there is a chance of knocking a few thousand pounds of each but not more. T(e Chevy has already been reduced from £59,950. The Ford as far as I see hasn’t been reduced. Both are US vehicle specialists.
These are the two nicest I see right now. Could wait for more choice, but both look nice.
Oh, and I have a 600 mile drive home so which has more chance of getting me back in one piece comfortably!
That’s also really clean. Rust-wise, either one is fine, that Ch**vy looks real good.
system keeps blocking my posts so can’t show you links to the two trucks!
basically need t’o choose between 1940 Ford F Series - pics here hopefully and 1957 Chevy 3100 also pics here hopefully
.
chevy is £10k more money but looks more modern underneath.
which P
will get me home next week on my 600 mile journey and will be easier to look after / get parts for?
